The 10th Exhibition – Hoyeon Korean Art Group of NY
올해로 10회를 맞은 호연회는 1987년부터 고 김주상 선생님의 지도로 꾸준히 한국화 (동양화) 공부를 하며 1994년에 정식으로 그룹이 형성되었습니다. 그동안 뉴욕과 뉴저지에서 격년제로 계속 그룹전, 개인전, 초대전을 통하여 활동해 왔고 2016년 9회전을 준비하는 중 선생님께서 병으로 소천하셨습니다. 이제 10주년을 맞이하며 오랜 세월동안 선생님과 함께 공부하며 마음속에 간직한 소중한 기억들을 화폭에 담아 함께 나누고 싶습니다. 이번 KCC 전시회를 계기로 호연회가 더욱 성장하고 한인이민자들과 후손들의 삶에 한국에 대한 자긍심이 심어지기를 소망합니다.
